Frameless Shower Doors

Many savvy homeowners know that to increase the value of your home you should have a great master bath. A good master bath is very desirable in all homes these days. One of the main features that many people look for in a master bath is a frameless shower door. Installing a frameless shower door in your bathroom will provide years of great use and the bonus of increased home value.

Why would you install a frameless shower door? Obviously everyone is concerned about the price of their home. Anything that can increase this value and provide a great payback should be done. Frameless shower doors are so popular that it would be unwise to not install one. In addition, the all glass look of a frameless door can have the appearance of making our bathroom look much bigger than it actually is. Even a small shower enclosure can make the bathroom look much bigger when viewed through a frameless shower door.

When choosing a frameless shower door you must decide whether you want a bypass shower door or a swinging frameless door. Often times this can be a matter of taste in choosing between the two. Both doors are very functional and can work in almost any environment. The bypass shower door operates much like a traditional sliding glass door. Many of these doors are equipped with exceptional hardware that allows for easy rolling movement with the door and they lock into place to create a watertight seal. For A more modern look, the swinging type shower glass door can be installed. These doors will feature a great open and close motion which will also create a watertight seal to protect your floors.

Maintaining your frameless shower doors is quite easy. Since the majority of the shower door is going to be glass it can easily be cleaned up without worry of damaging the surface. Any over-the-counter class cleaner can be used on the glass surface for regular cleanings. For homes with hard water, it may be advisable to clean more often instead of letting hard water build-up to accumulate on the glass. This can be remedied; however, it may create more work for the homeowner to get this build up off. A simple vinegar and water mixture can also make a great glass cleaner.

No matter what door you decide on, a shower door is a must have. It will increase the value of your home and provide you with outstanding use for many years.
